Two places for sure, Habitat for Humanity and the The Salvation Army.

Then there is HOPE’s Donation Pickup service, which provides free home pickups of good quality used clothing and small household items in Northern California (Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Alameda Counties) and Southern California (Los Angeles and Orange Counties). Donation items are then resold at our HOPE Station store in Fremont (39418 Fremont Blvd), or at the chain of Savers thrift stores throughout California. Store proceeds directly benefit HOPE clients with job training, job placement and independent living services. Your donation is tax deductible.

* exercise equipment (if 1 person can
lift [no barbells]
* fabric (including thread)
* hand tools
* high chairs/baby furniture (no cribs)
* irons
* jewelry
* knick knacks
* lamps
* luggage
* microwaves
* pictures, paintings, and frames (packed safely)
* pots and pans
purses, wallets, backpacks, tote bags
* push lawnmowers (no gas or electric mowers)
* records, tapes, cds, videos, DVDs, VCRs and DVD players
* shoes
* silverware
* skis
* sporting goods
* stereos & TVs (portable only)
* strollers
* tools (garden)
* toys

HOPE does NOT accept the following items:

* auto parts
* baby bottles
* barbeque sets
* children's car seats
* cribs
* desks
* encyclopedias
* exercise equipment-large (if 1 person can't lift)
* food items
* furniture
* glass (windows and light fixtures)
* guns
* hampers
* hangers
* hazardous materials (use your best discretion)
* heaters
* hot water heaters
* large appliances (stoves, refrigerators,
washers and dryers, freezers, etc.)
* lawn mowers (gas or electric)
* magazines
* mattresses and box springs
* metal lockers
* newspaper
* organs
* pianos
* paint
* rug pads
* rugs and carpeting
* soap, cosmetics, lotions
* space heaters
* tires
* water heaters
* water softeners
* window blinds

You could also sell them on ebay and donate money to the homeless!
