Inkjet Cartridges: OEM or Remanufactured Inkjet cartridges?

I have an HP inkjet printer and i am out of ink. I am planning to get remanufactured inkjet cartridges this time as they are very cheap as compared to OEM inkjet cartridges. But i have some doubts regarding them whether they are good to use or not. Are they harmful for my printers?
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This is a very good question that most people have in their mind. It has been seen that OEM Inkjet Cartridges are very expensive and at times become unaffordable. So, with the advent of remanufactured inkjet cartridges in the market has got a boom as they are very cheap as compared to OEM inkjet cartridges. Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridges are good to use without any problems but they may have a low quality. I have been using them for quite a while and i am happy for that. You can also try them they are mostly safe.

They are not at all harmful for your printer and typically work just as well as originals. Just be sure you find a reputable retailer as remans are known to have a defect rate of at least 1-5%.

if you are on a budget, remanufactured will do as they have almost the same quality output as OEM brother ink cartridges

I have an HP DeskJet and I tried remanufactured Inkjet cartridges and they did not work. The printer did not recognize them as valid cartridges.

I have however used remanufactured cartridges in Epson printers successfully.

My advice with HP printers is to always use original cartridges.
