In your opinion, Danny Elfman's best work on a movie soundtrack?
I would have a hard time answering this one myself ... Danny Elfman is truly gifted when it comes to creating movie soundtracks, and he has done so many of them! Might just be one of the most prolific artists today in this area.
Do you have a favorite from the many movie soundtracks he's done? If so, what makes it your personal favorite? Answer can be an entire soundtrack, or a specific song... but please do include WHY you think it's awesome :-)

I like to think of myself as one of the biggest Danny Elfman fans of all time. This is a really hard decision but I'm going to have to go to The Nightmare Before Christmas. You can't get anymore classic than this movie, the music, and the characters. It's beautiful and dark and you couldn't ask for better lyrics. The Nightmare Before Christmas is about Jack Skellington, king of Halloweentown, who discovers Christmas Town but can't quite understand it. He finds himself drawn to it and to better understand it he wants to be Santa Claus during the Christmas season.
Nightmare Before Christmas fans come in all shapes and sizes but I’m definitely one of them. I have one friend who became so passionate about the movie and the music that he tattooed Jack Skellington on his right leg and Sally (the love of Jack’s life) on the other. The music is a muse to me. When I’m stuck on a creative writing project, I listen to this soundtrack as inspiration.
