The Eiffel Tower was finally finished being constructed in 1889.
Construction started in 1887, so it obviously lasted two years. Gustave Eiffel was the mastermind behind what was (and is still) considered to be one of the greatest architectural feats during the 1800s. Today, it is an observation tower that is also used for radio broadcasting.
