in the most recent episode of Burn Notice, they said that your heartbeat sync up with the ticking of a watch you're wearing, is this true?
one of the guys gave his accomplices a couple watches which were synchronized, and he said that your heart's pulse lines up with a watch if you wear one, talking something about how by the end of the day, since the watches were lined up, their hearts would be aligned. Is this true? the logic... makes no sense to me, but I do circuits, not circulatory systems, so yea... just curious if it was at all true. I figure not since the guy saying it was a psycho in the show... but I figure I'd ask!
Thanks!

In order for your heart to "sync" with youy watch, your pulse would need to be 60 beats per minute (bpm). For me? Sure, my resting heart rate is between 50 - 60 bpm, but fluctuates even when just standing up after sitting for a while. My wife? About 80-90 bpm. Your heart beats as much as it needs to. I don't see any possible reason why your resting heart rate would naturally fall to 60 bpm due to wearing a watch if it is normally 70-80.
