You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My wife and I spent a weekend in The City for our last anniversary. We ate at the oldest Italian restaurant in the United States. Founded in 1886, Fior d'Italia has never closed its doors, except for renovations and changing locations.

Anyways, that is where I had one of the best filet mignon dinners I've ever ordered. It was a thick, tender, pepper crusted chunk of delightful goodness. The entrée was less than $30. We bought a bottle of wine and dessert and made it out of there for about $120, including tip. Nix the wine and you'll have a great dinner, great service and be a part of history for under $100.

With 100 dollars, you can dine at the best steakhouses in San Francisco as reviewed on Yelp!

You probably can't have an authentic Kobe Wagyu steak from Japan, but you can definitely have an "American" Kobe or Wagyu steak. For example, at Harris', a 15oz "American style" Kobe will cost you 75 dollars, but a 13oz Japanese Kobe will be 170 dollars!!

I've never tasted real Wagyu steak in my life. Well, I bought Australian Wagyu once in a supermarket and cooked it at home. It didn't taste anything special. And I can make the cheapest meats into the most sumptuous steak meals. I spend most of my money on food, but I've never spent more than 20 dollars on a single meal for myself. Anyway, if I were given the opportunity to waste 100 dollars for a meal for myself, I would splurge on a Wagyu!

The following are the best rated steakhouses in San Francisco according to Yelp users:

I love this place for multiple reasons. The first being that it is pretty close to home which probably doesn't apply to a lot of folks reading this. Please do not chalk this review up as another bias…

Seriously a San Francisco gem! This is up there on my list of favorite steak places. I know it doesn't look all glamorous or have the best location, and yes it's kinda kitschy but the place rocks!…

Neighborhoods: Union Square, SOMA
132 reviews
757 Market Street

Why is it that some restaurants get a lot of press and others not so much? A case in point is Season's. They don't have a pretty chef and obviously haven't a good enough public relations staff to…
