In military time 7 AM is 07:00 or "seven hundred hours". How is 10 AM (10:00) pronounced? Is it "ten hundred hours"?

Similarly 7 PM is 19:00 or "nineteen hundred hours". Would 8 PM (20:00) be "twenty hundred hours"? I think it sounds a bit weird, but maybe that's just me.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I believe it is technically spoken "ten-hundred-hours". However, when it is understood that military time is being used in a communication it is common to hear times between 10:01 -11:59 spoken as "ten-O-1", "ten-twenty-four", "eleven-forty-seven".
