In Microsoft Office Word 2007 how can I enable word count?

When I write articles I need to keep track of the words that I wrote. When I am online I use an online word count tool. Since I am using Microsoft Word when typing articles I think it would be more fast and convenient if I constantly see how the number of words as I type. Does MS Office Word have this functionality? I am currently using MS Word 2007. How can I enable word count on this?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The procedure is simple. To turn on Word count in Microsoft Word 2007, please Right-click the Status bar at the bottom of the window and select Word Count.

The word count for the entire document will be displayed in the Status bar. If you want to see the word count for a particular selection, simply highlight the select text.
