In Media Player Classic is there a way to make "close after playback" the default?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It's possible. Here are the steps:
1-Create a shortcut of the executable file (if you don't have one already), put it on the desktop and then select properties (right click on the shortcut then select properties at the bottom).
2-Under the tab "shortcut" there is a space in front of the word "target" where the location of the executable file is written (e.g C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayerc.exe). Add quotation mark to the link and write at the end the command /play /close "%L". The link will become "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayerc.exe" /play /close "%L".
3-Save your settings by clicking the "Ok" button, enjoy ;))

Very nice. And is there a way to do it if the media player is opened by opening a file (ie double clicking an avi)?
