In IN, how long do you have to press charges? I was the victim of check forgery by a relative and am not sure if I want to press charges.

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Check out this page. It is for "Civil and Personal Injury Actions", but you may want to pursue it this way so that the relative does not go to jail.

Here is the criminal area,

You have one year from the time you file a complaint to press charges.
