in cribbage if you are not the dealer what are the two best cards do you put into the crib?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

typically you want to keep cards that give you runs, so get rid of two cards that do not lend to having runs. Also if you have 5's and 10's keep those and trow the odd balls. An old crib player who I used to visit schooled me big time in crib, I had 2 wins and 37 losses to the guy and he always,, and I mean always played to get runs,, he would mostly keep all the low cards and throw 10's and face cards in the crib whether it was his or not. He was 77 yrs old and would laugh every hand,, good times!!

I've played this game several times and have made some mistakes with the crib. I can't tell you exactly what the two best cards are to put in but I can tell you to always keep 5s and 10s and don't put in consecutive numbers. Depending on what your hand is like, you can put in low cards like a 2. Good luck!

Keeping the runs and keeping points in your hand is among the best strategy. Not throwing points into your opponents crib is right up there as well. With everything else being equal the best cards (in my opinion) to throw into your opponents crib are the face cards, or face card & 2 or 3 or 4. In the end, it's still alot of luck. Keep the points, throw what you have to, to keep them.

K-10 and K-A are statistically the two best cards you can throw into you opponents crib.
