In a paid assignment on "What 5 rules do you love to break", I listed 5 rules I feel are counterproductive. What are your 5 rules?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Oh come on, nothing better than a shot of something with a beer chaser, or starting with wine and moving on to port....sheesh!
2. Don't eat rich food before bed because you'll get nightmares.
Oh sure I will, I love eating chocolate before bed, heaps of it! Yum! Or what about a light night snack when you can't sleep.
3. There's no such thing as a sure winner.
Oh I don't know, there are occasions when there is a sure winner, there is someone or something that will beat everyone else hands down! When John McEnroe was playing at his best no one could beat him! He even used to tease players by being down a couple of sets and coming back to win...so no, I think there are sure winners sometimes :)
4. "Blue and green should never be seen without a color in between"
Whoever made up that stupid fashion rule has never worn jeans and a green shirt! Goodness me, they look great together!
5. Children should be seen and not heard
Oh rubbish and nonsense. Kids are great to listen to, they say the silliest things, they make you laugh and give you great joy. No wonder those old fuddy duddies were so boring if that's what they thought of kids!
So that's my list, and for a bit of fun, just watch McEnroe again...hehehehehe

M$2. Don't quit your faith/religion. Even though your Christian mom might be a psycho. My sister recently talked to my mom. My sister was depressed, and was on the brink of suicide. My mom told her that she would be happy to assist with my sisters suicide.
Those are the two that I broke...I'm sure there are more.
I would like to comment on #3. Work is a public place isn't it? Just like the Christian people don't like to hear about Muslim views, as a one foot in Atheism person, I don't want to hear about how Christianity is the best thing on earth, and how the world will end in the next 30 years or so.
You know, as an Evangelist, the world was supposed to end at LEAST once since 1998. I remember being very dissapointed when we didn't all die and go to heaven in 2000. Logically in my 15 year old mind I though, when I turn 18, I just know I won't be as innocent then, then I would have to work very hard to get to heaven...
I don't know if other Christians know this, but we're all still alive!
My point is, at work, I can't get away from that especially if it's other employees talking, and I don't want to start a discussion on how my views may be more right than Christianity that was based off of many Pagan views.
On #5, ideally it's great to 'forgive and forget', but it's hard. It is hard to forgive and forget the recent tragedy of the Hmong being slain, and the more recent tragedy of 9/11.

M$The one rule I would add would be "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all", this is just wrong, sometimes things just have to be said for the good of the idiot on the other end (which I have been and being told so helped to correct the condition) .
