I'm trying to get the range on an Aeronca 7AC Champ, but all the sites (airlines, aerofiles, etc) have different numbers, who to trust?

Is there in fact an official database with all the performance numbers? If not is one site more reliable than another? Or is just that each individual aircraft has its own (and very different) range number?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Is there an owners group or club?. Those planes were fairly popular, there must be factory or owner manuals around. Try the Experimental Aircraft Association or any antique aircraft group. Next I would try to find an owner and ask them, you might find one at an air show.
