I'm told that Kansas City is a BBQ heaven. Where should I start when I visit?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$Kansas City is BBQ heaven and don't believe anyone who claims different.
I've had BBQ from Hawaii to the Carolina's and Kansas City beats them all.
#1 Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue
This would be my choice if you had to pick just one of the 100 plus BBQ joints in Kansas City.
They have 5 locations, all great, scattered about the metro area but I will suggest the location on the country club plaza.

Awesome food and you can't pick a bad item off the extensive menu

#2 Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue
Kinda funky location seeing how it's located in a gas station, but the BBQ is well worth it, especially the prices and portions.

These are my two top picks for KC BBQ. Alot of people swear by Arthur Bryant's BBQ, personally I've never been impressed and could name off at least 20 BBQ joints in the area that put Bryant's to shame.
Now if your in town at the right time you would have to check out the American Royal BBQ.
It's the largest BBQ contest in the world.
