"Sources close to MTV and Sacha Baron Cohen tell EW that the infamous stunt on the show between Eminem and the Bruno star was staged, with Eminem's consent and participation."
Meanwhile, comedy writer Scott Aukerman, who says he was the head comedy writer for the awards show, also claims on his blog that "the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged," explaining "they rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show."
Personally I knew it was staged the night it happened. It is just so Eminem like!

M$These kind of stuff isn't new. They did similar stuff in the past. I remember in the 90's Howard Stern came in costume and in character as "Buttman" He came from the ceiling with wires as a superhero. Christian Slater touched both his butt-cheeks on stage to make the crowd go wild.
Although Eminem obviously wasn't expecting it. He was obviously pissed and walked out immediately after the incident. It leads me to suspect that he either he had lousy bodyguards or his crew was in for the prank all along.
His bodyguards reaction time was slow and he was obviously in danger. If the stunt has gone horribly wrong his bodyguards did nothing to protect him.
In my opinion I think Eminem deserves it. Its all bad karma for all the celebrities and people he attacked on his lyrics.
