I'm ready for a new book! What should it be?

Here are a few books that I've enjoyed recently:

* The Prestige
* The Little Stranger
* Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
* The Time-Traveller's Wife
* The 13th Tale
* Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil
* Drood
* The Road
* The Terror
* The Portrait of Mrs. Charbuque

(Please offer unique book ideas -- ones that I may not run across by scanning Topseller Lists. Thanks!)
Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Little Bird of Heaven JoyceCarolOats. This may not be unique but one day I brought home "middle age" by J.C.O. and next thing I knew I just had to read all of her books that I could. The local library has about a third of her work I read all that they had. I consider Her one of my favorite authors now.

If you are an avid fan of the TV show CASTLE, you would really enjoy HEAT WAVE supposedly written by Richard Castle.

I was totally surprised when I found out it was a real book and not just one mentioned on the show as written by Castle!!

Then it went on to the bestseller lists and has remained there and has been a very popular book for the publisher.

It is very similar to the show but with a different crime solved. In the book he is a journalist instead of a book author, but he still follows "Nikki Heat" (homicide detective) around and helps her solve the crime.

Now I hear there will be a second book coming out in Sept. I can't wait!!
