I'm loving the whole Ida "missing link" controversy that the media hyped up. Is she or isn't she a link to humans?

Ida definitely falls on our lineage train and is a significant find. Her being the "Missing Link" is a marketing push in the media.
The bigger story however, is not her being our ancestor, but the fact that such a significant fossil comes from a private quarry. Messel should be a world heritage research site so all specimens make their way to museums and not private collections.
