I'm looking to buy speakers for my car (Aurora 2001). What brand should I get? What are some gotchas?Any tips?
So far, the only tip that I've gotten from several friends is to go with Pioneer. Are brands actually that important? Any shopping tips and gotchas to look for? And if there are some Canadians out there, from where should I get them (So far, I'm thinking Future Shop or Canadian Tire)?
How do I know which the front speakers are? Any good links that show this information?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$As for my personal opinion, I have had very good luck with Polk Audio and JBL speakers. If you are looking for a step up try looking at component systems that separate the woofer and tweeter giving a cleaner sound.
Be sure to check out your options at Crutchfield, they have a lot of information and choices if you decide to make a purchase!
