I would have to say my favorite is Nosferatu. The movie was released in 1922, and it is still one of the creepiest movies made to this day in my opinion.

Oh, I have to put a vote in for the super cheesy, super fun "Love at First Bite" starring the ever-orange George Hamilton as Dracula. The movie was made in 1979 and is a horror-comedy-romance (figure that one out!). Basically, after getting evicted from his Transylvanian castle, Dracula comes to 1979 New York to find a bride, and must learn how to woo a magazine model with the help of his assistant, Renfield.

It's cheesy, it's sincere, it's silly, it's George Hamilton! Great cheesy camp. My favorite Saturday afternoon guilty pleasure (for those times when "Interview with a Vampire" and "Twilight" are taking themselves too seriously).

Here, this clip (with the imcomparable Sherman Hemsley) gives you an idea what this entire movie is like. Classic!

Queen of the Damned deserves a mention among these fine movies. I think Stuart Townsend was a better Lestat than Cruise (an explempary actor). And it pays a tribute to a passionate performance from Aaliyah who's butting career was tragically shortened by her death

From Dusk 'til Dawn baby! We watched that in the theaters a bunch of times. And when the scenes came up with Clooney wielding the pile-driver stake, we were shouting out the Frag count like he was playing Doom. It was great! Many other good mentions here.

One of the ones that always comes to mind is SALEMS LOT (1979) starring David Soul. This movie is definetly worth watching and is most probably one of the scariest vampire movies I have ever seen. It gave me nightmares for weeks!! For those that have seen it remember the vampire child at the window scene?? (see the trailer)
David soul returns to his hometown SALEM to notice a few sinister goings on and starts to investigate...THis is how he becomes a vampire hunter..The film is based on a best selling novel by Stephen King.
(REFER TO SOURCE FOR INDEPTH REVIEW OF MOVIE)

The other one that always springs to mind is THE LOST BOYS
Its about 2 boys who move to california with their mother and the boys end up fighting a gang of vampires...

Am I the only one who thought that if the rest of Blade was like the first 10 minutes of the movie it would have been a whole lot better? and maybe some non-cg blood :p Dont get me wrong, its still one kick-ass movie but it could have risen to new heights if they kept the energy up and the blood less plastic.

The vampire movie that stands out in my mind, and is most likely the cheesiest movie ever made, is Once Bitten! Perhaps it is because it came out when i ws too young to be watching "adult content" movies, but it was a ridiculous, but humorous vampire movie! Quote: "I don't want to be a vampire. I'm a *day* person."

Blacula because he was more bad-ass than the regular Dracula who is bad ass to begin with.
If you go to your local Barnes and Noble, they have had DVD copies in the bargain bin recently for $4.95. at that price it is a good buy.

"Yeah, we keep odd hours"
Severen, Near Dark. (Paxton is awesome)

Now, I loved Interview, Vampires (The John Carpenter Arrangement), I even liked the SECOND Vampires, with Bon Jovi and Eddie from Family Matters.. But the low budget, cheesy locations fit well with it. In most Vamp films, you have this wildly over-populated nightlife. Which is fine if your scene is Paris, New York, Tokyo... but when you're talking Midwestern farm towns, it should be bleak, and empty, save the random drunk rednecks.

Near Dark wasn't the best written. And the kid who played Homer makes me cry a little inside with his line delivery. But the interaction between Mae and Caleb is great, real love story kind of chemistry. Bill Paxton is the all time Best Supporting Bloodsucker. Henriksen basically played himself, like he always does, but it worked well. And everybody else kinda faded into the background like good little minor supporting roles should.

And the ending.. is just as ridiculous as the idea of vampirism to begin with, so it all comes together.

For real laughs at a vampire playing actors expense.. Go rent Innocent Blood. Get a chuckle at Loggia's acting, and Don Rickles as a murderous blood sucking vampiric Consigliere.

My favorite vampire movie of all time would have to be "Interview With The Vampire". Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst and Antonio Banderas.

LOL I remember being so mad when the cast was announced for this movie, but I have to admin Tom Cruise totally sold me as Lestat. Brad Pitt] was also perfect. But it was indeed a fairly unknown young actress that stole the show, at least for me :)

I've owned this movie on VHS, Laser disc, DVD and probably will re-purchase on blue-ray if it gets a nice HD scan + extras.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is a favorite of mine. I have seen it many, many times and Gary Oldman is phenomenal in this role.

Here is the trailer. Makes me want to watch it right now.

my favorite would be 1.UNDERWORLD (masterful, action, classic a must see)
2.Blade II (one of the best pictures by Wesley Snipes great)
3.From Dusk Till DAWN ( when i first watch this picture during the beginning i was wait this so lame and the beauty of the picture was the end and of course it was really humorous)
4.Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles( this picture is very informative instead of vampires just killing their victims you are shown their real life(lives) plus having a stellar cast of Brad Pitt,Tom Cruise etc.
5.Van Helsing (this movie must be rank as one of the best acting, plot, cast graphics was great hope they bring out a sequel)
6.Vampire HUNTER D (although it is an anime i would say it is one of the best movie you can see about vampires i love it)
7.Blade (the first sequel was just epic enough said)
8.Blood:The Last Vampire(anime at its best a must see
9:Hellsing

I actually have the movie Fright Night on VHS... What I do not have is a VCR but it's still a great vampire movie, spoof, romp whatever you want to call it. I thought it was great and once some archeologist digs up a VCR I'm going to watch it again

I gotta vote for Underworld. The fact that they are vampires is almost an undertone, as opposed to the central theme. Even the "extra" abilities of the vamps are understated. You know that they have some super powers, but it doesn't steal the focus. Add in an interesting story line and a healthy dose of action (fighting) and you have a great movie.
