Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Well, we need to know what kind of laptop you need. While the $300 laptop may be right for some people, for other people, it will be the bane of their existence.

What kind of iMac do you have? (G3, G4, et cetera)

What do you like about the iMac?

Will this new laptop be your primary PC, or in addition to your iMac?

What price range are you looking for?

Most importantly, what will you be doing with your new laptop?

In that case, I recommend pretty much any flavor of netbook. You can get them with Vista (not recommended), WinXP, Linux (which might be your best option if you already have OSX experience - they're very similar) or Win7 Starter when it comes out.

I have an Acer and wound buy it again as is. It works well and takes the bumps easy when carrying it.

I am thinking of a netbook for weight difference but keeping Acers.
