I'm going to a concert in Ottawa even though I'm in Hamilton, Ontario. Does anyone have any tips to make the ride shorter??? thanks x 100000

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I am not a favorite of the 401 through Toronto and if you go theough Toronto best to check that it is not rush hour --I normally drive on the collector roads as I find the express routes too fast and too dangerous

I also go through Peterborough and highway 7 to Ottawa as it is on the hypotenuse of the triangle between Toronto and Ottawa -about 1/2 hor to 3/4 hour shorter - believe it and less stressful I find -again check times -don't go there on Friday nights or Sunday nights

Have fun in Ottawa

Keep in mind that if you take a more complicated route, you raise your chances of getting lost. I'd trust Google Maps if I were you to keep the ride as short and enjoyable as possible. I've taken the liberty of typing the route into Google Maps for you here:
