I'm getting a PS3 what games are a must buy or just your personal recommendations?

M$Exclusives:
Yakuza 3
This game has a fantastic story. Great graphics and varied gameplay. To give an impression of this game I would say try to imagine an updated Shenmue with smoother fighting action. The main character is likable and there is quite a bit to do within the game.
Metacritic Score 80

Folklore
This is a modern fantasy adventure that plays the same story through the eyes of two protagonists. The gameplay is unique in that you capture spirits that you use to attack enemies.
Metacritic Score 75

Cross Edge
WARNING: This is a love it or hate it kind of game, if you do not like JRPG skip this one, but if you like it do check this out.
The graphics are simple but attractive, but you may feel a bit like you are playing a PS2 game. The gameplay revolves around a deep RPG system with lots of characters and a fun, cross reality setting.
Metacritic Score 52

Downloadable Games:
Final Fantasy IX
I think this game is one of the most under rated Final Fantasy games, the hero is likable. The characters are fun and interesting.
Final Fantasy VII
This is the game that caused a massive raise in popularity for the PS2 and role playing games in general. The graphics have aged poorly, but the game is just as fun as ever
Castlevania Symphony of the Night
This may be one of my all time favorite games. The length is just right in that you can beat it in 20 hrs or less making it a nice diversion without being the time investment that many epic games are. The sides scrolling game play combines action and role playing game elements. The graphics are outdated, but manage to still be quite attractive.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Ever play River City Ransom? Did you like it? If the answer to both questions is yes, your prayers have been answered. This game is effectively River City Ransom II. If you have never played it, try to imagine a Double Dragon style brawler with RPG style leveling and stats that can be raised by getting certain items.

M$Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves: The best platform/adventure games on the Playstation 3
Metal Gear Solid 4: Simply the best, most engaging game I have ever played (and I played a LOT of games)
Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV: If you like sandbox games, you're going to like these. Not exclusive to the PS3, but still very good games.
Fantasy XIII] I really enjoyed (and am still enjoying) this game. Lots of play-time, great visuals, engaging storyline.
Demon's Souls THE hardcore game that teaches you how to die in a video game. Not for the casual gamers, but once you master it, it is really rewarding
Heavenly Sword: One of the 'oldies', and therefore easy to grab cheaply. Didn't get the attention and sales it deserved. Highly recommended if you like hack-n-slash games.
If in doubt, check youtube for som in-game videos, to make sure you make the right decisions when you buy your games. Enjoy!

M$Where did I 'almost duplicate' his answers? Sorry, but the ones Buddawiggi and I both mention happen to be THE best Playstation 3 games ever, and no list of recommendations should be without those. Other than that, our lists are completely different.
Your answer, on the other hand, has NOTHING to do with the question.
Apparently, you seem to suggest that having a Playstation 3 somehow eliminates the possibility of outdoor sports entirely.
But hey, thanks for the 'unhelpful' vote. You made me LOL :)
When talking about the best games for a system there is bound to be some overlap due to the fact that the games picked will likely be the highest rated games and chances are these games are quite popular.
You've almost duplicated buddawiggis answer. At least I give an explanation.
