I'm confused with the Boomerang Snake. Is it legal in tennis? Is there any rule about returning the ball over the net?

The concept of the Boomerrang Snake is from the anime/manga Prince of Tennis by Takeshi Konomi It involved having the ball wrap around the outside of the net pole and return to the court. It is impossible in Real Life.
