I'm a freelance writer and the publication just paid me twice for the same set of stories. Should I keep the money?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

1) Return the money
2) State that this is the last time you'll do that!
Then if this repeats a fourth (fifth ...) time, you can keep the money with your conscience in peace :)

M$If they use the same articles more than once they are entitled to pay you for them again if that is their policy.
If they catch their error (if it is an error) later they'll just bill you for the money. Best to return it (or not cash it).

The basic idea common to a lot of philosophies is that our wealth and abundance flows to us from the surrounding universe, just as the basic necessities, food, water and air do. Granted that was simpler before tribes & governments came into being, and work was added to the equation. At the opposite end of the spectrum--who believes one can get ahead in life taking advantage of people or by crime? Most negative schemes usually fail at the end, or the consequences catch up to them.
