You may not like my advice, but I've been there and done that. Start off small or you will have trouble sticking to it. This may mean walking and building your way up. Start replacing a few bad habits with a few good ones. Ditch the soda, it has worked wonders for me. Although it is important to weigh in, don't let this be your guide. Muscle weighs more than fat, and you will gain muscle. Don't set a guideline as to when to lose it. Goals are important but should revolve around healthier habits. It's not all about losing but maintenance. Four years ago, I got down from 226 to 150 and looked amazing. Although my goal was 130, I had very little fat on my body. Your build is important too. Sadly, I went to the extreme to try to get down to 130. Not only did I become too thin but I couldn't maintain my starvation and extreme exercie tactics. Long story made short. I gained it all back and then some. However, within the last 18 months I have made healthy changes that I can manage. You don't have to take my advice, I know what it's like to want to lose it fast but keeping it off is just as important. Make small changes and implement another one only after you can manage the first. Good luck and I hope that this helps.

I would think by the end of the year you could possibly get down to the weight of 130. That would be about 3-4 pounds a week. I would start by making sure you are eating properly. Low fat, low simple carbohydrates (sugars). Start an exercise program where you get 3 days of cardiovascular exercise a week and 2 days of some sort of resistence training (exercise bands, weights, etc) I suggest 30-45 minutes of exercise per session. If you are new to exercise, i'd start by walking and working your way up to something more strenuous as your body gets acclimated to working out. To get a good program set up, perhaps go to a gym and talk to a trainer, they can help you get started on the right workout for your goals.

You can get started by going to see your doctor and get a physical exam. Talk to him about your weight problem and ask him to recommend you a good nutritionist. They are the only ones that can tell you how long it will take you, to achieve your goal.

Then start doing one thing at a time. For example,

1. You know what you eat. Start eliminating (little by little) the food that you know is not healthy.
2. Start taking short walks, then long walks and in a few months start running.
3. Eat more salads, with just a little bit of salad dressing. Also, drink a lot of water.
4. Do not give up. If one day you eat something you shouldn't have, make sure you do not make the same mistake tomorrow. But do not give up. Your health is the most important thing here.
5. Stay away from people that like to eat all the time. I am talking from experience.
6. Stay away from the kitchen and dinning room. This is something I do all the time. I prepare my meals and my family's meals. As soon as I finish eating, I leave the dining room or kitchen. Is just my way of staying away from temptation.

It would surely take some time and the most important thing is to continue with the process. To start with - get yourself a proper balanced diet chart, avoid junk food and high calorie foods, and start with a regular exercise routine.

Do not fix a time frame to reduce weight. Firstly concentrate on your diet and plan it carefully and follow it accordingly.Do not opt for junk food, high caloric food.Make a habit of eating vegetable salads before one hour of your meals. Reduce the quantity of carbohydrates in your diet. Go for a walk for about an hour after the dinner. Practice Exercising. And also better to practice meditation.

1) For starters, eat regularly, have a light snack a couple hours after a full meal, because this keeps your metabolism going, so it burns carbs. Try the full bar, you eat it 30 minutes before you eat, with water, so you don't eat as much.

2) Exercise! This always helps, of course, it will take a little bit, but you need to be patient. Don't over-work yourself though, start small, maybe take a half an hour walk or jog, and then increase your workouts overtime.

3) Try yoga, sometimes weight gain is linked to stress, yoga is relaxing, and also another way of exercising. If there's something on your mind, talk to someone, this could also help a little.

I hope this helped some, good luck! :)

Cut soda out completely and drink lots of water. Eat a light meal before bed this will help you not to overeat during breakfast. Jog up hills.
