If you were qualified to work at any company in the world, which would it be and why?

Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Queen Elizabeth's personal analyst.

You thought I meant that as in analyzing her head, didn't you?

No! Don't be silly!

I mean I would gather the previous day's global and commonwealth events, and condense it all into a few pages of tables, charts, and graphs showing where the world is at as of that moment in time, to be read over breakfast.

Here... look:

! BEFORE DAILY BRIEFING:

! AFTER DAILY BRIEFING WHEN DONE BY MEDIOCRE COMPETITION:

! AFTER DAILY BRIEFING WHEN DELIVERED AVEC ET VIA MOI !!!

Just *LOOK* at those DAZZLING RESULTS!!!

WHO other than *I* could *possibly* be MORE *QUALIFIED*?!?

I'd love to work at either yahoo or google. :) I wanted to be a Systems Analyst there. I'm currently a web programmer somewhere in Asia but I'm not too happy with being a programmer. I'm more into thinking and planning applications but not coding them.

I agree with Google. I saw something on TV not too long ago where they were talking about the best places to work, and they showed Google - and it looked pretty awesome. They have a really fun atmosphere and a lot of perks!

Yup! Their workplace is sooo cool! It isn't the typical office design! :D

Ahhh google, seems like a wonderful place to work. I like this one thing they do where the devs work on nothing but just brainstorm and try to come up with their own google app for a couple of days.

If i were qualified to work at any company in the world which i want to apply at any government offices like the Bureau of Internal Revenue; Department of Agriculture etc. as long as i qualified. Because in the government office there is an assurance of no lay off of employee. You had a better future in the government office.

I worked for the government for five years - and they do, unfortunately, have layoffs. I was fortunate not to have been laid off, but I did know people who were. But overall, a government job is probably safer than a job in the private sector.

I wish I was qualified in the taste and writing department so I could be a renowned food critic. I could be paid to write about all the delicious restaurants and food I would be able to dine at. I would get into so many exclusive places and get to taste delicacies I could never have imagined otherwise. I would be able to taste the worlds finest food for my job, how much better could it get?!

I would want to work for OCC making choppers. That looks like a sweet job and the people you get to work with are cool too. But thats because I am a little bit of a gear head and don't mind turning wrenches.

I would love to work for the Boston Red Sox in any capacity that allowed me to be at Fenway Park for all the home games and to travel to cities around the country with the team and hopefully being able to experience the game at the away stadiums as well.
This job could be anything, I would sell hot dogs or beer, cotton candy or peanuts, programs anything.

I want to be an astronaut. I would work for NASA (not really company, but you know...).

http://tharkad.pa.msu.edu/~asteiner/wp-content/themes/white-as-milk/NASA_logo.png

I feel that my generation doesn't have any epic challenges... going to the moon was so epic and such an achievement, I feel that looking forward is the only way to go.

I also have always wanted to be in zero-g. Who hasn't? :D

NASA isn't a company, but if you can have organisation at all, it sure would be a good choice.

If you're limited to private companies, maybe Virgin Galactic?

Pixar, hands down. I think they are a truly innovative company, which is rare these days. From what I have seen on behind-the-scenes documentaries, it seems like their employees enjoy working there. Any place that encourages that kind of creativity is a place I'd like to work.
