If you were pregnant and it was discovered that you have cancer, would you go ahead with chemotherapy?
If you have chemotherapy the baby will die before birth.
What do you do and why?

If I knew I was therefore going to die, I would make memories for my child to have of me when he or she is older. I have a daughter and started a journal while I was pregnant. The purpose of the journal is to chronicle my thoughts about her and our lives at different points (mostly when I feel like writing). I might go months without writing but she is going on two now and I have kept up with it periodically. I don't think its necessary to write everyday in her journal but if I knew I were to die than I would write every day on every topic I could think of and I would leave video footage of me as well telling her things that I thought she should know. Assuming she is kept with people who would care for her as I would and would honor my wishes and keep me as a presence in her life, I would provide as much information to her as I could.

M$It's wonderful about your father. Are you sure the doctors weren't trying to scare him into some lifestyle changes? Attitude and willpower are of course a factor but I don't think I could place as mich faith in them as you do, a biological reality is still a reality.
No they weren't trying to scare him. His heart attacks weren't a result of lifestyle and he was told that. He was born with narrow arteries. It was actually part of why they thought he wouldn't survive long. His body was accustom to a totally different blood pressure than a normal human being.
