If you were on an island with no people, how would you start a fire?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Gather woods and dry leaves or other possible things to be used. Try to rub two woods together fast. It will eventually create smoke because of friction. Continue to do it until it produce fire, then put it in the piled dry leaves and woods to have a perfect camp fire.
You can also make fire using lenses, but since you're in an island... I don't think you're gonna bring anything like that so let's stick to my first answer. :)

Have you tried starting a fire by rubbing wood? I tried it with a string and bow, a notched piece of wood, and some dry grass. I was able to get the wood to smoke, but no fire.
