If you were given the chance to make a movie, what would it be about?

I'd definitely cast Heather Graham as the lead actress. I think she's great and she has portrayed characters in some of her movies that I think would fit with a screenplay I would write. I may have Ryan Gosling as another character, as well as Ian Somerhalder and Penelope Cruz. Basically a very attractive cast of people, and very good actors in my opinion. I'd definitely need Robert Downey Jr. as the manipulative psychopath, as much as I hate the guy. And Helen Hunt as the drug addict. Haha, it would probably take days to describe what the movie would entail, but I think it would end up being pretty good. Awesome question :-).

M$The plot would revolve around a formerly home-schooled, unmotivated teenager and his difficulty growing up.
I've thought about this a lot, so I'm going to describe the cast of characters.
Ben(Me) - Played by Michael Cera(I look quite similar to him), this shy kid is not very good at making friends, but is lucky enough to be surrounded by some very outgoing and fun people.
Erica(The Love Interest) - Played by Mena Suvari, this quirky and irresistible young lady leads Ben on for an eternity, breaks his heart, but teaches him several important lessons about life.
Mandy(The Sister) - Played by Alison Lohman, Mandy is a stabilizing force in Ben's life. Even though he doesn't always appreciate her as much as he should, she's always there when he needs her.
Keith(The Jerk Best Friend) - Played by Adam Brody, Keith is always getting into trouble, and letting other people take the fall. Ben tends to put up with him, but eventually stands up to him.
Mom(Mom) - Played by Tina Fey, Ben's mom doesn't really know anything about him, but they find away to get closer.
Dad(Dad) - Played by Gary Oldman, the oppressive, drug addicted father is anything but a parental figure to Ben.
Grandpa(Grandpa) - Played by Christopher Walken, Ben's grandpa is the greatest person ever, and gives him everything he needs. His death is the first time Ben has ever experienced a loved one passing on.
Brian and Leah(Couple, friends with Ben) - Played by Bo Burnham and Emma Stone, this couple has their troubles, and Ben tends to help them out, just as they help him.
Like I said... I've thought about this a lot. Now I won't spoil the ending for you, since I do plan on becoming independently wealthy and making this movie.

M$If you see the trailer included below you will see why a star detracts and is not a necessary element in a good Western story.
My movie would be a Western for sure. It would be filmed primarily in Mescal, Arizona, Monument Valley Utah, maybe a little of Hawaii thrown in, and a sound stage I have in mind in an old Armory in San Francisco. I would like Elmore Leonard to write the Western script, like he does, and nobody else can. As long as the story is compelling the unknown female actresses who make up most of the cast need not be mainstream stars. There will be Colt 45’s, Winchester's, Stetsons, and horses staring in the film along with a lot of sounds. There will probably be authentic quick and sudden gunfights, like in Appaloosa, if Elmore fits them into his story. If Ennio Morricone is still alive I would like him to complete the soundtrack before we start filming. Second choice is the young man who scored “Pat Garrett and Billy the kid,” if he will do it. He must be allowed to work alone. The music should be played loud on the film set.
Third choice would be David Crosby who I think has a great soundtrack in him, if we can just get him to bring it out.

M$Abraham Lincoln. I would make a big-time epic movie about the life and assassination (maybe I'd just focus on the latter?) of the president. His story if full of intrigue, turmoil, war, and the American spirit. He's one of the most beloved...and controversial...presidents, and it just makes sense that Hollywood gives him his due. I'd wait in line to see that movie.
