If you were experiencing a flood or fire and had to run, what would you grab first?

All of the natural disasters in Pakistan, China, Hispaniola and other portions of the world have me wondering. Out of all my worldly possessions, belongings and assets, what would I grab if I had to make a run for it. Assuming of course that you would not need to carry your pets or children, that they would be along with their personal belongings of their own, what is the thing that you believe would hold the most value for you at that point in time?

Passports, bankbooks and precious metals kept in the house. The metals would be for immediate trading for things to keep my family. The bankbooks for when things got back to normal or if I fled the Country with my passports to have access to cash in other Countries. And of course I would have my wallet with my credit cards.

My laptop would be the first thing since I have vital information on it. Obviously, if I’m alone in the house. The rest would be: my phone, my papers and ID’s. If I still have room I’ll take everything with personal values such as the gifts I received from friends.

I would also take my car-keys! I don’t keep money in the house, therefore my credit cards will also come with me, however they are not important as long as I have my ID and the bank is opened.
Another thing I would take is my favorite shirt. No joking. I have a lucky shirt and I need it.

a weapon and ammo preferably a shotgun, knife matches and whatever camping gear I have time to grab. These things would assure the survival and protection of my family if we couldnt make it out of the disaster area for a few days, for you guys that said credit cards and bank books good luck finding an atm or hotel room besides that should already be in your wallet anyway
