If I recently became blind, I would pay a lot of money to get my vision back. If I were born blind or have been blind for many years, I many not be so quick to spend my money as I would have grown accustom to not relying on my vision. In fact, there are many long-term blind people who have developed considerable skills in spite of not having vision.
