If you lose your iPad, are there any features or services that can help you locate it?

Will Apple's MobileMe "locate and wipe" features work with the new iPad just as they currently do with the iPhone? If so, do I have to download a new app or can I migrate my current iPhone app to my iPad. Also, does the fact that the current iPad is Wi-Fi capable only, does this limit the "locate" feature? Will that only work for the iPad 3G model?
Tip for best answer: M$0.75
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Yes, Mobileme has both Find My iPad and Remote Wipe for iPad support. If you already have an iPhone, this will work for both iPhone and iPad at the same time, in one subscription ,which is $99 a year.

Some box hype:
"The new "Find My iPad" will work on both WiFi and 3G-enabled iPads, though it goes without saying that the WiFi-only version will only be findable while connected to a WiFi network. "

and

"With so many people managing one or more computers, one or more phones, and a tablet device in their lives, services like this can be really helpful. And, if you're an iPhone user, the Find My iPhone/iPad and Remote Wipe services will work for both your iPhone and your iPad. "
You can get it here at iTunes

If you find $99/year too expensive, you can also use the App Undercover.

This app helps you locate a lost or stolen iPhone, iPod or iPad.
You need to register, which will create a personal Undercover account at http://www.undercovercenter.com. Whenever launched, the Undercover application the location and IP information is stored in your account, which you can then retrieve by loggin in to your account.

When you lose your iPad, you can set custom message, which is displayed when the Undercover program is launched, while the new location is sent to your account.

It comes cheap at $4.99, but the problem with it is, the iPad isn't a multitasker, so the thief has to actually start the App for it to work. This is definitely less interesting than Mobileme, but hey, what can you expect for a fiver. Plus, the new OS4.0 that's to be announced this week might allow multitasking!

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Sorry, I tried to select your answer as best answer but was unable to. I believe that it was a system issue.
