If you learn everytime you make a mistake, which is better? Avoiding them of embracing them?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Generally speaking, avoiding would be better since that would also mean avoiding the consequences that tend to follow mistakes.
But the question of whether you avoided them due to wisdom vs. sheer dumb luck is also relevant. If you avoid mistakes due entirely to luck, then it would usually be better to have made the mistake so that you can learn to avoid it in the future. On the other hand, if you avoided it because of your wisdom, it means you've found a way to learn that does not involve the trial and error of making mistakes, which is far preferable. Better to learn from others mistakes and teaching than to be reduced to learning from one's own errors.
