If you had to vote for 1 celebrity to be President of the United States, which celebrity would you vote for? and Why?

Rule: Cannot vote for previously elected celebrities, like Ronald Reagan
Tip for best answer: M$3.00

Steven Colbert - Why?: Because he is a genuine American fellow citizen ready to become our leader ;-)

If Steven Colbert couldn't be a choice for some strange reason, my second choice would be Christopher Walken..

Really? I know he's a funny Internet meme, but in real life Chuck Norris is a creationist wacko, here is probably the first thing he will do when he's President. "The Bible as a text book in public schools"

Gary Sinise. He holds views much closer to me than most any other celebrity. Celebrities usually make poor choices for president. They mostly libve in an insulated world and have no clue as to what the rest of us deal with on a daily basis. Kind of like the celebrity president we have now.

Natalie Portman

Why? Because she is intelligent, worldly, strong, charismatic and friendly.

Evidence of intelligence/worldliness: "Graduated from Harvard University in 2003 with a bachelor’s in psychology, and has pursued grad studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Speaks five languages."

Furthermore; "She has addressed the U.S. Congress on behalf of her favorite cause - the Foundation for International Community Assistance (FINCA) - and is determined to continue to use her celebrity status to benefit others."

Stewart/Colbert (or Colbert/Stewart in 2016)

Both are very smart, politically aware, used to working with a group of smart people, understand the issues, both are pragmatic rather than purely liberal (as their current mockery of Obama and Pelosi is showing).

My vote would go to Gary Sinise (aka "Lt. Dan"). He just seems like a really nice, down-to-earth kind of guy, but very intelligent and has strong family values, and he supports the military.

Here are some notable achievements:

  • Founded Operation Iraqi Children (www.operationiraqichildren.org) in early 2004
  • On December 10, 2008, was awarded the United States of America Presidential Citizens Medal for his work with the USO and Operation Iraqi Children.

N'Bushe Wright and Sigourney Weaver, the winning ticket, regardless of which one runs for president, and which one is a running... mate..? - the VP.

Well in control of their professional careers, as well as personal lives, with trackrecord of excellence and integrity, recognized by general public and film professionals, alike. Both women are well known, respected and admired outside the US, too.

60% of global capital will be in hands of women by the year 2023.
40% of all business travelers today are women.

Paris Hilton

She seems clever enough to be the President and has already done a campaign against when John McCain and Barack Obama were campaigning. Her family could definitely help her every step of the way.

She managed to get very far in her career through modelling, singing and writing. Take Arnold Schwarzenegger - bodybuilding, acting and then becoming governor of California.

I understand she wouldn't be able to be president now! (As she is 28) - but in the 2016 US Elections - she could definitely apply!

Really? I don't think she's clever at all, her life has been handed to her on a silver platter and she was never successful at modeling or singing... she just simply had the opportunity/money/people to help her do it. As for her take on McCain last year, I am pretty confident she didn't write the material.

Besides, remember what happened last time a President was elected with a history of Drunk Driving?

I don't know if she counts as a celebrity per se. But if I was allowed to vote for a celebrity I would vote for Amy Lee from the band evanescence. She seems to have a calm and cool type of aura surrounding her. I think she could easily deal with our countries problems while keeping everyone calm.

If it were possible, I'd be tempted to vote for him simply because of multiple sci-fi movies referencing him as the president (namely Demolition Man).

Most influential celebrity now, can easily beat Arnold to be the Governer of California and be president as democratic nominee in 2016!
why? Articulate, smart and inspiring! He would run the government guided by common sense, no special interest groups, no pay offs, no party support based on "crony-ism".

I think that I would vote for Oprah or Madonna. Both of these women have an excellent sense of business. They both have shown the ability to put themselves in front of the public year after year and not worry about the inevitable carping. Both have taken risks in their personal lives and in their careers and sometimes they have failed, but they did not let themselves be crushed by failure. Both have made mistake and have admitted those mistakes. These women are secure in themselves, they accept the different turns that life brings them and they seem to rejoice in the good things in life that have come their way without thinking that they are entitled to those good things.
