If you had the chance to do one thing over, what would it be?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

That is a good question. I would not chose to do anything over, because everything I am is a result of every choice I have ever made. If a single choice in my past was different, it would affect every choice that followed it, and I would not exist (as I do now).
I appreciate my existence, and the type of person I am, and so I would not choose to take an action that would destroy that.

I've contemplated this before.

I'd re-live my teenage years. I really made some dumb choices when I was 15-16 in regards to a girl I liked. She influenced me in a bad way -- getting me to skip school, do drugs, live a bad lifestyle, etc, which ultimately led me to drop out (I was an honors and AP student before all that too).

Luckily I ended up going to a technical college and still got my high school diploma and a degree but I sometimes walk to my high school wondering what things would be like if I had just stayed in school. I lost touch with all of my good friends in high school who were there for me when I needed them. So I also wonder what ever happened to them and what they are doing now.

In short, there are a lot of things I learned in my teenage years but if I had the chance, I'd do it over because I know I would have had even more opportunities awaiting me had I made the right choices.

I was once arrested by the FBI. I wasn't guilty of anything, but that's pretty tough to prove when you don't have the money to afford a private attorney. If I had the ability to do the whole thing over, I'd do them VERY differently so that I wouldn't have been in the position of getting myself arrested.

Yeah, that's probably kind of vague, but the "crime" was pretty notorious at the time (it got a lot of press), so if I gave more details, it would be relatively easy to figure out who I really am.

The way things turned out is probably the single greatest regret in my life so I would REALLY like to be able to re-do things. Life doesn't allow many "do-overs," unfortunately.

I'd stay in graduate school rather than working. It was easily to live off nothing then, not so much now.
