If you don't have an iPad yet, are you waiting for Apple to roll out the next version before you purchase one?

Do you think Apple will be updating or upgrading the features of the iPad any time soon? Do you think it's worth waiting for the next version? Or is the technology company too busy working on the white iPhone4 and other products to be thinking about new features for the iPad?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'm definitely waiting for the next version of the iPad. There have been rumors that they might be releasing an update before a full year passes and also rumors that Apple will release a smaller iPad with a screen in the 7'' range - like the Dell Streak and Samsung Tab, but Apple draws so much speculation that I find it best to simply "wait and see." I'm pretty confident that Apple is putting a lot of resources into the future of the iPad.

While I think the iPad is pretty impressive as is, I generally don't buy 1st generation products (even from Apple). The other reason I'm in no rush to buy an iPad right now is because of how I anticipate using it - mostly as an eReader or to view websites. I think that iBooks, magazines / news papers and comic book publishers still have room to grow and stabilize. On top of that, I'd like to see an improved screen that allows for better viewing in direct sunlight (not to mention an iPad that doesn't have heat problems in direct sunlight).
