If you didn't get to field with your cricket team, can you still bat for the team?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

No you can't, unlike baseball where there is such a thing as pinch hitter or designated hitter. In cricket if you do not play defense when it is the other team's turn to bat, you may not bat yourself in the same inning either.
