If you could make one song never to be heard again, which song would it be?

I think everyone get's tired of a song that plays over and over and over on the radio every now and then, but then sometimes, a song comes along you just hate the very first time you hear it, and usually, it becomes popular. If you could take just one single song from all of history and make it never to be played again, what song would you banish?

*lights this Nickleback song on fire*

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This is an easy one for me and I am sure it's going to make me look like a south hater, but it's far from it. I love the South. I have lived in it all of my life and I even have one of these accents to prove it! However, I do not like associations that come with the territory and I find much of it very offensive.

If I could banish a song forever it would be the awful noise called "If The South Woulda Won" by Hank Williams JR. Not only because he can't sing a lick but this song is just trash. There is actually so much wrong with this song, I don't know where to begin.

"If they were proven guilty, then they would swing quickly"
I am not in for capital punishment, even if I was, this is not even funny

"We'd put Florida on the right track ‘cause, we'd take Miami back"
Well what makes him any better than anyone who lives in Miami? Last time I checked, Hank Jr wasn't a Native.

As a fellow Southerner, I could not agree more. His father did some great songs, and his son still does...but frankly, I think talent skipped a generation in that family.

It would be the theme from Love Boat. If I hear that song - even a snippet while clicking through the channels -- I can't get it out of my head for days.

Any of Cliff Richard's Christmas songs. He always releases them for Christmas and the UK radio stations play them incessantly until Death by Christmas pud seems like the only answer.
They're all here but please save yourself. Never play them.

There might be too many songs to list. Since you already listed Nicklelback I'm gonna go with the bands that really get to me.

Zao is number one, or really any Christian "metal" bands. Its not that i hate Christians its just that metal is supposed to be evil. There is nothing evil or scary about praying and going to heaven. If there was a satanic gospel choir i would say they were just as stupid. People don't look to rock n roll for spiritual guidance. Just like I don't believe in Satan after listening to hours of satanic metal, i don't think anyone's faith in Christ is getting stronger through Zao.
