If you could have an all expenses paid retreat for half a year, what would you do? Why?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I would take my wife to where she could get away and rest. Perhaps Bhutan or Scotland. I would make sure that she didn't have to do any laundry or dishes except when she insists on cooking. I would see if she could substitute teach because I know that she would get restless without a job. If it were Bhutan, she could teach English. If it were Scotland, she could teach math. I would want her to come home relaxed, confident, and ready to face another school year. This is what would make me happy.

Twenty five and a half years as an educator. Four and a half to go.

Travel throughout the world, writing the whole way. I'd leave the schedule flexible, but go to Europe, the Caribbean, Africa - generally wander. Post photos the whole way, learn, and write. Since the budget's unlimited, I'd probably take classes where available.
Sounds like bliss!

I would find a cabin in the mountains and write a fiction novel.
