If you could go back in time and give your 18 year old self one piece of advice, What would it be?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It would definitely be SAVE... SAVE... SAVE... I can't tell you how much I wish I would have spent less money on fast food, entertainment and things that we're really important in my life. I could have retired early if I would have saved half the money I spent growing up....

The first I would say is... "Learn how to enjoy studying."

The second would be... "It's because you were tall."

Ha, ha. That is a funny question. Personally, I would suggest to any 18 year old that they should go to college and not rush to get out. Choose a College in an area that you could live in after you graduate. So if you want to work near a beach, don't go to College in the Midwest. If you love to snowboard, don't go to College in Arizona. Make your college experience as memorable as possible. Join clubs, fraternities or sororities, play sports and have a blast.

My tips:

1) Learn to set goals and take classes that you are interested in.

2) Learn how to manage your time. Arrange your classes so that you maximize your time on campus. You can do this by cramming classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting early in the morning. Those will be your two toughest days, but they will make Fridays and weekends much more fun, because you'll have the time to do what you want.
