If you could get any car you want, what would you get? no limits! :)

What color? Why do you like it? Do you have a photo or videoclip of it?
(I would probably just get something practical that can handle any conditions like the one below). Interesting to see what everyone would like!

I want get 2009 Audi A4 car. Its color is black. It is cool sexy shape. First and foremost the new Audi A4 will utilize Audi's up-and-coming MLP (Modular Longitudinal Platform) technology which will form the basis of not only the Audi A4 and A5, but the also soon-to-be-revealed Q5 crossover SUV, next-generation A6, the as-yet-to-be-announced A7 and even the next A8. MLP allows Audi to place the engine and transmission further back behind the axle and helps stretch the wheelbase without lengthing the car's exterior dimensions. Less front overhang means the 2009 Audi A4 will be less front-heavy than its predecessor, a problem which has dogged most Audis for some time.

The new Audi A4 will only be about one inch longer than the current A4, although the longer wheelbase will make it appear to be a relatively bigger car. Front and rear overhang each decrease by nearly three inches. Thanks to its available next generation quattro all-wheel drive (rear-biased with a 40/60 split) and MLP architecture the new Audi A4 will handle significantly better than any of the previous generation A4s before it.

The new Audi A4 will also get something that its A5 brethren unfortunately did not - LED tail lamps. We have been told that the development cycle on the A5 was such that tail lamp designs had to be locked-in before the more cost effective LED models to be used on the Audi A4 could be finalized. The Audi A4 will also include headlight-integrated LED daytime running lights as an option, while the S4 will get them as a standard feature. And many more.

I love reading your detailed technical description of the Audis you mentioned. I'm a big fan myself. My dream would be to get the A4 avant, silver gray color. Though I can't wait to see what the Q5 would look like in person.

The Bugatti Veyron is the meanest looking sportscar out there, I think, so it's probably my leading choice. I'd also like to be able to answer the question of "what is that?" with "It's a Volkswagen."

The Tesla is another strong contender though. I love the idea of an all electric sports car.

Mclaren F1! It may no longer be the fastest, but it is still the one I want. Here are my reasons.
1. You sit in the middle
2. FAST
2. Room for two passengers plus you
3. light weight
4. It is the closest street legal car to being one with the road.

If there is no limitation in terms of money, I would surely go for an Aston Martin DB9.

Despite the rumors, you can really enjoy most british sports cars these days.

This is, what Aston Martin says about the DB9:

The DB9 was designed from the outset as both a coupé and a convertible, an uncompromising approach that epitomises the engineering philosophy behind the car. The DB9 Volante is therefore one of the most structurally rigid and best-handling convertibles in the world. It is also one of the fastest and quietest.

Since you mentioned no limits, I would get a Moller Skycar. A hybrid version would also be nice. The same red color in the video would be just fine. Just as long as I can get from point A to point B by air, I could travel just about anywhere.

I could imagine being in Hawaii; hopping from island to island at will; no need for boat trips or plane tickets. Everyone would love to get in the car just to see the breathtaking bird's eye view over some of the most magnificent and amazing places in the world while hovering 50 - 100ft in the air.

The primary purpose for the invention of a car is transportation and being able to fly with a car is the ultimate fulfillment.

Aston Martin DBS

Truly great luxury sports cars are few and far between. In a world where innovation is all too often hampered by compromise, pure performance is a rarity available only to the genuinely discerning. Designed as the ultimate driving experience, the Aston Martin DBS bridges the gap between road and track – DB9 and DBR9. Equally at home on a twisting mountain circuit as on the open road, the DBS is a true thoroughbred.

The Aston Martin DBS is a 6.0-litre V12 powered, race-bred, two-seater shaped by the aerodynamic demands of high performance, with an exquisite interior that marries beautifully hand-finished materials with the very latest in performance technology. A combination of elegant design, innovative manufacturing processes, race-derived materials and components and Aston Martin’s unrivalled hand-build expertise makes the DBS a luxury sports car without equal.

I'm assuming by "no limits" you still mean the limit of what's available right now. Further, I'm assuming the limits of my current geography. And further, I'm assuming the limit that this would be my one car. Couldn't be the Tesla because I'm assuming that it needs to deal with New England winters and needs to be able to carry kids. So therefore, has to be a Prius--front wheel drive, 5 seats, hatchback. But I'll take mine modified for plug-in hybrid use. Dark blue, black leather. Fisker or Tesla "White Star" not available yet.

But if I assume I live in Europe, I'd take the Honda Civic five door diesel hatchback they have over there. http://honda.co.uk/cars/civic5door/

I'm loving the Tesla or the AC eBox, but I'm an eco-green kinda guy these days. Tesla is fast and battery powered while the eBox is a nice sensible electric car. They are both extremely expensive for what they are, but worth it for someone with the money looking for a little piece of mind while helping the enviornment.

LET ME BLOW YOUR MIND!!!

I would get Stan Meyer's car. Stan Meyer was an inventor who made a process to split the hydrogen and oxogen from water at an excellerated rate. He had a working prototype prior to being found face down and poisoned in a corn field, but it was cofiscated soon after his death and nobody knows where it is now. He stored non-flamable, non-toxic, ordinary tap water onboard as a fuel and got close to 100 miles to the gallon. Imagine pattenting that technology durring the oil crisis last spring. Screw the big 3, give me the bail out money and I would make the nation free from oil bering nations within a decade. The engine could be refined and placed in any car, from sports cars to 18 wheelers. The only biproduct is clean drinking water and oxygen. Two items that we need anyway.

If I could get absolutely any car it would have to be the Ferrari F40, which is a twin turbo charged v8 monster that sounds more like a straight 6. It is probably the most raw ferrari ever built, and the last car commissioned by enzo ferrari. A performance monster in its time and still absolutely amazing today. If I HAD to drive every day I would want it to be in this car.

I just did this exercise with my grandmother. We went through a ton of different options. The one thing that really drove us to the Subaru was the fact that it has all wheel drive...and we, like your picture depicts, get snow where we are.
It does not get the best gas mileage (averaging about 21-23 MPG), but it has a great resale value (here anyways were the AWD is a benefit.)
My grandma has been very impressed with the car, and our dealer has been great too...

I'm generally a fairly practical girl, so my auto ambitions aren't too lofty.

I'd like to eventually get either a Subaru Baja
http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2003/02/06/154371.1-lg.jpg

Or a Toyota Prius

http://michaelmacal.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/2008-toyota-prius.jpg

I did see a nifty looking electric car while on a wine tasting in Northern Michigan. It was a tiny, motorcycle sized thing, but enclosed on all sides (and bottle-bug green FWIW). But it's not quite practical enough for Midwestern me. I need something I can take luggage, a dog, and eventually children around in.

I would get the Porsche Cayenne SUV - a silver one.... I have always wanted an SUV and I think the best combination of performance - off road and on road - and style is in this car!

If there were no limits, the question is easy for me. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California. The car exudes perfection in being a gentlemans sports car with class, flash and quiet restraint in its perfection. Amazing machine and incredible car.

In reality, I am perfectly happy with my wife's 2008 Scion xB. Practical, good gas mileage, intriguing design and still turns heads every once in a while. my 2006 xA does a better job in the MPG dept but lacks in space and punch.

An Audi R8. It's agressively designed and looks cool, yet is not ostentatious. The little details help give it a very sharp look (Sideblade, LEDs surrounding headlights, etc.), and it has all wheel drive meaning that it could handle the terrain.

I would want to get a car designed by Apple, manufactured by Apple with iPod audio system and multi-touch control system built-in. That would be soo cool.

Well if money wasn't a problem... I'd love to get a Maserati Grand Turismo S

Second choice would be an Aston Martin DBS

And then finally, a Bentley Continental....
