If you can keep a wild animal pet, if there are no rules against having one, which wild animal will you have?

The only way I would keep a wild animal is if it had been injured in some way that made it impossible for it to survive in the wild, such as a bird of prey that could no longer fly. In addition, it would have to be something that I could care for responsibly, considering its needs relative to my own habitat and schedule. I doubt if I would be willing to keep any part of my property cold enough to satisfy a polar bear or penguins, no matter how cute they may appear. There is also the consideration of possible transmittable disease or unpredictable behavior (they are STILL wild animals). I suppose I would chose on of the wild horses or burros available from places like the Bureau of Land management in Colorado. Either that or an Indian Elephant (joking). I would choose one that was injured or disabled in some way, one that others might not choose, a special needs foal, if you will. One of the best things about my choice is it is already legal, and we can ALL do it if we want! Well OK, maybe not it you live in a high rise in Brooklyn.
