If you are a Democrat who is your favorite Republican? If you are a Republican who is your favorite Democrat?

Are we stuck in party politics? Can we see people on the other side as being worth voting for?
Tip for best answer: M$0.55

I am actually a registered Republican but have not voted for them in national elections in more than a dozen years, I am actually registered to vote in northern San Diego county and generally only Daryl Issa is the only GOP member I vote for consistently, I like the president, although I would have preferred Hillary, My U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer has been reliably consistent So I like her unlike Feinstein who I think is out for herself, I think Ron Paul is genuine and you may not always agree with him but he does not come across as a hypocrite, I did not like Bill Clinton back in 1992 and voted for G.H.W. Bush (never voted for the son) I remember him repeatedly saying " I promise to shrink the deficit and create ...million new jobs" and it happened, by 96 I was on board, he became my favorite Democrat, I had to hold my nose to vote for Kerry over Bush, South Park did an episode Douche Bag and Turd and it was up to you to decided which one was Bush and which was Kerry.
Right now I cannot see anyone on the GOP that I like nationally, there are areas where I like Gingrinch and areas where I like Huckabee but the only person they have that I could even think of voting for is Tom Ridge, other than that I will vote for Obama again. it will be him and the senior Bush that I voted for twice.
Bill Clinton is my Favorite Democrat
Tom Ridge is my Favorite Republican

I am not in a party but my views would have me considered a Republican. My favorite Democrat would be Bill Clinton. Despite the fact that he is a pervert, he was a good president.

Bill Clinton didn't go far to the left and try to destroy the country like Obama is. People had jobs and were fairly happy with their lives when Clinton was president.

I was in the Army,if I had to do it all over it would be Air Force or Navy, I live near Camp Pendleton part of the week and have been around Marines and the base for 20 years now, If your son comes out he may not want to go back to N.C.

I actually seldom listen to talk radio anymore. They have an agenda like most people. I figure the truth on most subjects is somewhere between what the left says and what the right says.

Iraq is but I admit to supporting it at the time, I thought he would do what his father did and get in and out but no... the truth is somewhere in the middle, It did not used to be that bad, if you go back 20 some years ago with people like George will, William Safire, Bill Buckley they are a lot different than what passes for conservative commentary, the local radio hosts like Handel, John and Ken, on Conservative KFI640 in Los Angeles are more civil than Hannity, Levin, Limbaugh...

I doubt he will come back. He has a love for Asian Culture and picks up languages easily. He is already fluent in Spanish and Hmong. I fully expect him to live out of the country when he gets out of the Marines.

randync is he? I always wondered about that myself, thanks for sharing, just kidding, actually I thought he was a president that just did not care, in that he dialed back the efforts in Afghanistan to focus on Iraq, with a secular dictator, he took us from surpluses to deficits, he seemed to get a kick out of people loosing their jobs.
a president can only do so much, I think the people of this nation are just as much to blame as the last president, here in California they had to know that their housing prices could not keep on going up (and no it had nothing to do with Acorn) and yet they so many reasons why they should and you could not argue with them about it in the same way you cannot argue with conservatives about tough on crime measures not working or tax cuts aimed at upper income people somehow making everything better or liberals about legitimate debates on immigration or affirmative action not being racist or having to do with race. we got the president we wanted at the time, Obama is such an unknown but I find it hard believe that he is some leftist radical or trying to destroy the country, I suppose if I listened to Levin, Hannity Limbaugh or watched Fox News nonstop I might believe that but too many times I have watched and listened and said "wait a second that cant be" with Levin commenting on rising Unemployment he seemed to forgot that he worked for someone that took it from 7% in June of 81 to 10.8% Nov of 82. Hannity claimed Hillary was involved in the death of Vince Foster. I could go on with this the only conservative talker on the radio that makes sense who is national is Jerry doyle, then in Los Angeles on the station that carries rush limbaugh KFI640 you have Bill Handel before Limbaugh and and John and Ken in the evening, they don't attack just because the person has a D infront of their name or talk about birth certificates.

The reason the country is the way it is, is because of the last president not the president who just came into office this year to clean up the mess.

I agree with you about Afghanistan. Iraq is an unjust war and always was.

I never did support the war in Iraq. Of course I must admit to having teen age sons. That slows down pro war thoughts when your kids may be the ones fighting it. One of my sons is going in the Marines next year.

I am a registered Independent. I guess I am more liberal than conservative. My favorite Republicans are Ron Paul, and I also like Mike Huckabee, even though he doesn't believe in evolution.
