If you bake cupcakes the night before to frost the next day, What is the best way to store them to keep them moist and tasty?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have always had wonderful results either freezing or refrigerating the cupcakes in a sealed container with a paper towel to absorb any condensation.

I'd suggest a large tubberware container with lid, just left out on the counter, but make sure the cupcakes have cooled completely before putting the lid on. Don't store near stove top, microwave, or on top of the fridge. And putting them in the fridge will just make them cold and dry.

You should put them in a container with a cover or in a big aluminum pan and cover it with foil. I have seen plastic containers that look like muffin tins that come with covers.

Loosely cover with plastic wrap or foil. If you seal tightly, they will likely become too moist, making it difficult to frost.
