If two lines are parallel to the same line, are they always parallel to each other?

Yes, they will be parallel in a Euclidean plane, but not necessarily in space, which bends.

Yes... I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't be true.

If parallel = non-intersecting then:

Line 1 will never intersect the common line.
Line 2 will never intersect the common line.
Therefore, Line 1 will never intersect Line 2.
