If they want a seasoned professional, I'd go for Joe Morton but he may have aged out of the role to portray Obama prior to the election. If age is an issue, Will Smith would be a good bet because he can adapt to look like Obama and he also has a box office draw than many actors are not able to match so he would be good for aesthetic and business purposes.

Will has PROOVED himself a very capable and talented actor (The Pursuit Of Happiness anyone?!) and would not make this turn out a bad low budget campy movie you regret they made. He looks similar to him too. But he would most definatly be the best bet (and his co-star form Enemy of The State (don't point out any irony) who played his wife, the lovely Regina King, I think would even be a good Michelle, too!
