If the Cavs get knocked out by the Celtics, where should the blame go?

The media will immediately attack LeBron James if the Cavs fail to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. It that completely fair? Should the majority of the blame go to Mike Brown for failing to find the correct rotation? What about Mo Williams and Antwan Jamison? They’ve both been terrible on defense and neither has provided a big spark on offense. If the Cavaliers do lose this series, who deserves the majority of the blame?

I don’t think blame should be pointed in any one direction. The Cleveland Cavaliers are matched up against a team; the Boston Celtics who are loaded with All Stars. Even though they may be aging, they can go deep into their bench and still put a player on the court, which even though they may be up in years, are still talented and experienced. They are also up against a point guard who happens to be much quicker than any player the Cavs can match against him. When the Celtics add Rasheed Wallace and Michael Finley, they added quality bench players. Consider that they also have Nate Robinson and wow. Heck, a couple of these guys don’t even get off the bench during a game. The Cavaliers cannot win unless LeBron James comes up big here on out. If he does, he still needs help from the rest of the Cavs. Then in a close game Shaq becomes a liability because of his free throw shooting. Another problem that could face the Cavs will be if Rasheed Wallace decides he really wants to play and starts lighting them up with three pointers or post-ups. So far he has been pretty tame, but he is like a stick of TNT waiting to go off. So in my opinion it is not so much where to place the blame in the Cavs organization; it is just that sometimes you meet a better tooled team. A team that is deep up front and in the back-court.

The more experienced Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semi-finals eliminated the Cleveland Cavaliers from the 2010 NBA Playoffs and I think finger pointing is unnecessary. Although the Cavaliers have one of the most formidable lineups in the league right now, geez, the Cavaliers have the prolific and the versatile LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal, I think this is not yet their time.
Besides they’ve done their best in the series it is just that the Boston Celtics were at their elements and their game clicked in all cylinders. The Celtics’ Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo were awesome on both the offensive and defensive ends.
I think what the Cavaliers need now is to lick the wounds inflicted on them by the Celtics by looking ahead, learn from their mistakes, find more key players that might solve the missing link, and improve their coaching staff furthermore.
