If Space Time can be bent or curved, can it be broken or punctured?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I kinda remember that from Nova, but I'm far from a quantum physicist so take it with a grain of salt.

The idea of Space Time is still largely a theoretical metaphor, and incomplete. I think there is a fair bit of discussion about breaks in space-time but mch of the discussion involves refining our models of the universe, like string theory.
I don't believe the theories have a strong enough consensus to say this or that is a break in space time, rather they say "this is where our model breaks"
I saw that episode
