If someone committed a crime to benefit or defend you, would you turn that person in to the authorities?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

No, because what is right is not always legal and what is legal is not always right. Ethics and legality only sometimes overalp and it is the wise man who knows truly in his heart what is right and what is wrong when our legislation falls short.

Nope. I would go as far as lying in court for them, saying they're not guilty of what they did, and being in jail with them..
Friendship is more important than rules.

If it was a serious crime, yes. I'm a rules person. I don't believe in breaking the law to benefit yourself. So it would definitely depend on what the crime was. Stealing or hurting someone else, yes I would turn them in. First, I would attempt to get them to turn themselves in, then if they didn't, I would.

No way! That would be treachery. I would do my best to defend him/her in turn. Thanks

I would like to think that I would. If it was a small crime and not murder or anything serious then I'm not sure I could do it. Considering they did it for me it would be a very tough decision.
