I see nothing wrong with this question as in some states people have licenses to legally grow marijuana for medicinal clinics.

To answer the above question yes. As with any a-sexual environment the disease (Mold is a fungus therefor it is a disease) almost always spreads to its offspring.

But chances are if you are smoking the plant for medicinal purposes i don't think you are going to care either way.

If the USA is "One nation under God",How does one outlaw a plant that was created by "God" that grows naturally out of the ground?
If You want to fix the deficit and the economy a bit, put a Big Ol Tax on this cash crop and let out all the Non Violent Plant Growers. Oh it makes great bio fuel as well and it grows, well like a weed

It is not a good idea to smoke mold, but you are correct.

Homeboy, they don't call it weed for nothing. The seeds will sprout. They will carry the spores, but you can buy a sulfur based anti-fungal powder to dust them with if you are really concerned. Chill out on the water man! / Or dry the result quicker.

I'm a little concerned about this questions as well. I understand it is legal in some states for certain folks to grow marijuana. so I *think* we can allow this question and discussion provided it is in the health category with a disclaimer.

However, I think other questions about making drugs (i.e. an LSD recipe) would be inappropriate since it is absolutely illegal.

'"allowing groupthink and censorship to dictate".... isn't that what the interwebs like mahalo are all about?'

Perhaps Mr. Calacanis can answer this one.

It's a gray area for sure, but I agree with you; it is legal in some states for certain folks to grow it. An LSD recipe, as you said, would be inappropriate, given it's illegal everywhere. Leave those questions for another discussion board (even though you can find recipes anywhere on the net.

I say keep this question.

These types of responses scare me; you can go to any public library or book store and find information about marijuana cultivation. Answer the question or don't, but allowing groupthink and censorship to dictate what information is available is a slippery slope. It's not like this person is asking how to hire a hitman.

Chemical synthesis is extremely difficult and there is no way an 'answers' site is going to teach Chemistry. That said, it is completely legal to provide synthesis instructions for controlled substances. If anyone is interested in this topic, I suggest they pick up Dr. Shulgin's books, as they provide instructions on how to synthesize every drug he has invented and some others that he has made (MDMA would be popular..)

"allowing groupthink and censorship to dictate".... isn't that what the interwebs like mahalo are all about?

BTW, I am a proud owner of "Steal This Book", and have also read the various James Bond guides and the Anarchist Cookbook as a child.

My main concern was that, when you ask a question like this, it is obvious you are growing, and when it's obvious you are growing, you violate certain limits of common sense if you are growing somewhere where it isn't legal.

If any seeds mold they won't germinate. You won't have new plants.

Maybe this question is about Hemp used for its exceptional fibre, i.e. clothing, ropes, etc. I.e. the marijuana without the active ingredients.

If that's the case then I see nothing wrong with the question.

...sending cops - 1 simple dispatch call

...Getting busted for posting questions on the production of illegal substances on Mahalo

jonceramic , While I appreciate a persons mainstream jocularity about the subject even though a sensitive one, I think in this day in age some people are way waaaaaay to cavalier about "Thread Crapping", and before getting any kind of "Due Process" in the matter you where very quick to judge.

This was the reason I was dishardened about the fact you might have thought it appropriate to make fun of the sensitive question and I jumped on you.

Perhaps a little to quickly myself, perhaps in the future we can all wait to get some feedback(due process) before making a judgement about wheather to add humor to a question.

Perhaps.

Perhaps. There are no stupid questions.

Perhaps.

I'm sorry if anyone thinks this question is innappropriate, but this plant is the only thing in this world keeping my mother alive, and anything I've ever done with it has been completely legal to our State AND Federal government. Maybe YOU should rethink your judgements before you open your mouth, or should I say, let your fingers do the walking. Aloha.

Assuming the Constitution still works in some way, this post would in no way constitute probable cause for the Feds to get a search order.
But hey, considering how some things have gone down, I might be dead wrong.
But I don't see how this would be any different from say the dozens of publications like High Times in which marijuana use and growing is openly discussed. So I think it's a perfectly legal question.

xds, I offered no opinion, other than the completely UNIFORMED notion in joke form that this might not be a legal question to ask.

It may be that I actually support marijuana usage, and didn't want to see the author put under the focus of police investigation. So, I warned him/her in a subtle way. Think about it...
